Did you actually reached the door ?

Today I want to talk about the needed time to make a progress in your goal or skill. Sometimes I hear my classmate complain about his grades even though he study for one hour for math class every day. I actually have been though the same situation many times when I was in college. Also, many people complain that they are not making progress in the skill they want to master such as programming language, musical instrument, languages, ..... I have came to a realization that some skill required a specific amount of time in a daily basis ( or at least 5 days a week ). For example, if you are studying English for 10 minutes every day, you will probably not make any progress whatsoever. It is like planning to go to the English class in the 10th floor in the building by climbing the stairs to reach the class then take the elevator to go back down without going inside the English class.  I think that for all goals and skills that we want to master, we must spend a specific amount of ...

Poison Positivity

When I was in my third year in college, I had an acute depression. I had very bad grades and I had a lot of family problems. Starting from 2018, I decided to listen and read about self-development. I immersed myself in this world and I replaced my negativity with positivity. I literally brainwashed my brain. After I have have solved my depression problem completely, I started looking unsatisfied on many self-development post. I realized that often time, being optimistic is just a way of escaping the brutal truth. It is actually will make you less happy instead of more happy. Even too much positivity is bad for you.

Is Your Goal Worth the Time and Effort?

It is very important to estimate how much time and effort your goal requires. Many people get into the trap of working hard to achieve a goal which is not really worth the effort. These people are usually very motivated and serious to achieve their goals. They are very driven and focus in achieving their goal which is a good thing. The problem is that after a period of time of continuous hard work they start to criticize people who don’t work hard on their goals and they consider them soft. While many people do make excuses, and don’t put enough effort to achieve their goal, some of them do have a valid excuse.  If you want to achieve a certain goal, it is important to estimate the time and effort needed to achieve that goal and decide if it is worth it or not. For example, learning a language will take more than a year of constant studying for most people. Often times people say they are interested in learning X language but they don’t put sufficient among of effort to learn that ...

Why I Prefer to Use IPhone More Than Android Phones

Nowadays IPhone is very popular around the world. You can see people everywhere around the globe using it. It is dominating the smartphone market around the world. However, android phones are getting better and better every year and they are becoming a strong rival for IPhone. You have a variety of feature and prices in android phones compares to IPhone. In the essay, I will explain why I prefer to use IPhone more than android phones.             IPhone’s software is compatible with the hardware. IPhone’s software is created by Apple itself and not another company. This mean that they have complete knowledge of the capability of the device and how they can deal with it. On the other hand, android is a software made by Google than other smartphone companies take it and modify it to be compatible with their devices. This can create a big problem because the original android software might contain some features which is not compat...
