Did you actually reached the door ?

Today I want to talk about the needed time to make a progress in your goal or skill. Sometimes I hear my classmate complain about his grades even though he study for one hour for math class every day. I actually have been though the same situation many times when I was in college. Also, many people complain that they are not making progress in the skill they want to master such as programming language, musical instrument, languages, .....

I have came to a realization that some skill required a specific amount of time in a daily basis ( or at least 5 days a week ). For example, if you are studying English for 10 minutes every day, you will probably not make any progress whatsoever. It is like planning to go to the English class in the 10th floor in the building by climbing the stairs to reach the class then take the elevator to go back down without going inside the English class.

I think that for all goals and skills that we want to master, we must spend a specific amount of time in a daily basis to start making progress. For some skills, even two hours is not enough for you to reach the door. This is one of the reason why I stopped judging people who give up on mastering a skill. Because some people they realized that spending one hour daily for their targeted goal is just a waste of time without making any progress. They need to spend more time and they don’t have enough time ( or they decided not to ).

Poison Positivity

When I was in my third year in college, I had an acute depression. I had very bad grades and I had a lot of family problems. Starting from 2018, I decided to listen and read about self-development. I immersed myself in this world and I replaced my negativity with positivity. I literally brainwashed my brain. After I have have solved my depression problem completely, I started looking unsatisfied on many self-development post. I realized that often time, being optimistic is just a way of escaping the brutal truth. It is actually will make you less happy instead of more happy. Even too much positivity is bad for you.

The Chalisgaon Solar Panel Vandalism Incident: A Labor Protest Turned Viral

In 2018, a labor dispute at a solar farm in Chalisgaon, Maharashtra, India, escalated into an incident of vandalism, where frustrated workers destroyed solar panels. The workers were employed to construct and maintain a 100-megawatt solar project but took drastic action due to unpaid wages. Videos showed them smashing the panels with hammers and sticks in protest. Initially, some misinformation circulated online, suggesting that the destruction was motivated by superstitions, such as blaming the panels for causing droughts. However, fact-check investigations confirmed that the primary reason was non-payment of wages. The workers, angered by the delayed compensation, decided to damage the infrastructure as a form of protest. This incident highlights the vulnerabilities within labor management in large-scale infrastructure projects. The combination of financial mismanagement and lack of proper communication between workers and project administrators can lead to such severe reactions. The...
