Reading books is very helpful in many ways. It makes you learn new information about the world and teaches you new skills as well. Moreover, it makes you speaking more eloquent and articulated. The problem with reading is that it is very boring for many people and it takes a lot of time to really understand the content of the book. You might even have to reread the same chapter multiple times to really grasp the meaning of it.

In the recent years, many YouTube channels started simplifying complicated information to one short video where the give you they just give you the summary. They work very hard to prepare good script, pictures and spend a lot of time editing. They make pretty good videos simplifying complicated information many people struggle to understand.

However, often times you need to take the long road to get what you want. Reading a book or articles to understand a topic might be boring a take a lot of time but it will help your brain to process the Information and digest them well. It will give your brain time to put all the pieces together and really understands the topic. Watching well prepared videos and documentary is not always good because your brain can’t slow down and analyze the information.
