2022/05/2 (Is Modern Technology Harmful to Humans?)

Starting from today I will start writing my opinion about questions. This will be good exercise to improve my critical thinking skills and arguments skills.

Is Modern technology harmful to human?

Modern Technology have transformed our world. It allowed us to live in comfortable way compared with hundreds of years ago.  We have the internet which allowed us to communicate and share information with the whole world. It is now very easy to know the news of any country by the internet or the TV. You can call your family or friends while you are in your home instead to go to their house and meet them in person. Of course this comes with advantages and disadvantages.

On one hand, Technology have allowed us to communicate very easily. Now with a click in your phone, you can call anyone anywhere in the world. If you wants to know about other cultures, you can just open YouTube and watch videos. If you want to share information with your family or friends, you can do it in few seconds. Technology have helped us to have Air Conditioner which have saved the lives of millions of people around the glob.  Finally, technology contributed in developing vaccines which have saved billions of people since the day it was invented.

On the Other hands, technology have many disadvantages. For example, children can have access to the internet with no supervision and they might watch phonography. The internet have drove my people around the world to pornography addiction. This is a serious problem. Also, the internet contributed in the rise of people who have social anxiety because they are not used to talk with people in person. Moreover, technology have helped people to spy on other people and invade their privacy.

However, technology is like a knife. You can cook with it and you can kill with it. It is all depends on how people use it. If we are talking about the general impact for technology, I will definitely say the advantages are much greater than the disadvantages.

Poison Positivity

When I was in my third year in college, I had an acute depression. I had very bad grades and I had a lot of family problems. Starting from 2018, I decided to listen and read about self-development. I immersed myself in this world and I replaced my negativity with positivity. I literally brainwashed my brain. After I have have solved my depression problem completely, I started looking unsatisfied on many self-development post. I realized that often time, being optimistic is just a way of escaping the brutal truth. It is actually will make you less happy instead of more happy. Even too much positivity is bad for you.

The Chalisgaon Solar Panel Vandalism Incident: A Labor Protest Turned Viral

In 2018, a labor dispute at a solar farm in Chalisgaon, Maharashtra, India, escalated into an incident of vandalism, where frustrated workers destroyed solar panels. The workers were employed to construct and maintain a 100-megawatt solar project but took drastic action due to unpaid wages. Videos showed them smashing the panels with hammers and sticks in protest. Initially, some misinformation circulated online, suggesting that the destruction was motivated by superstitions, such as blaming the panels for causing droughts. However, fact-check investigations confirmed that the primary reason was non-payment of wages. The workers, angered by the delayed compensation, decided to damage the infrastructure as a form of protest. This incident highlights the vulnerabilities within labor management in large-scale infrastructure projects. The combination of financial mismanagement and lack of proper communication between workers and project administrators can lead to such severe reactions. The...

Why You Cannot Achieve More Than One Goal in The Same Period of Time

One of the most common traps people fall into is trying very hard to achieve more than one goal in the same period of time. They might be very motivated to master more than one skill so they create a schedule to help them work on all their goals in a daily basis. They keep working hard on multiple goals in the same time for months without getting a satisfying result. Then they start to question their strategy in learning each skill and change it and keep repeating the same cycle again. They start to work on one goal all the time but after two or three weeks they start to work in more than one goal and the cycle keep repeating.             What I mean by a goal or a skill in this post is something like, improving your academic performance, master a musical instrument, learn a language, have a good body shape, learn drawing, be a great engineer, be great writer, learn a coding language, …etc. These are just some examples but you ...
